That 'scratchy' style (in the hair) is something Im trying to stop doing in my own work - but it's hard shake - because it looks SO great and feels SO good doing it.

yeh, I allow myself the luxury of
quick line drawings when I am not
doing the heavy black and white stuff. I like the idea of combining the two together one
day in a way that works. The feel of working
with a pen is always so nice, so different
to the brush and ink.
It's amazing how a scanned image at a different
size can really bring out details in linework.
hoorah for the 'scratchy' line I say.
